The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Melonie says India should play an important role in de-escalation of Gulf War and early re-opening of Strait of Hormuz.
In a podcast interview Melonie stated Indian Prime Minister can play a major role in immediate cessation of hostilities between Iran and Israel as it maintains good relations with both of them.
The Italian Prime Minister spoke highly of India’s leadership stating that – “they (India) have been successful” passage of two of their ships through Strait of Hormuz.
“India and Turkey have channels of communications and they are respected. And I believe that two countries can play a key diplomatic role in the scenario (in Gulf War)”, Giorgia Melonie said.
