India thrashed Pakistan’s comments on flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple conducted by the Prime Minister stating that “Pakistan would do better to turn its gaze inwards”.

Randhir Jaiswal, the Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that  – “We have seen the reported remarks and reject them with the contempt they deserve. As a country with a deeply stained record of bigotry, repression, and systemic mistreatment of its minorities.

“Pakistan has no moral standing to lecture others. Rather than delivering   hypocritical homilies, Pakistan would do better to turn its gaze inwards and focus on its own abysmal human rights record” – Jaiswal stated while addressing reporters in his weekly presser on Wednesday the 26th of November 2025.

It may be recalled that Pakistan had reportedly protested against Modi raising scared saffron flag at the Ram Temple saying that this an attempt to increase pressure on minority communities in India and to erase Muslim heritage.

The reference was to the new Ram Temple erected at the site of the demolished 16th century Babri Masjid.

That disputed structure was brought down on 6th December 1992, by a right-wing Hindu mob.

After that disputed case was settled in favour of Hindus in 2019 by the  Supreme Court of India which eventually paved way for the massive construction new Ram Temple.

One year later after the Supreme Court’s ruling in 2020, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the Ram Temple and four years later, in a grand ceremony he presided over its consecration.

Earlier this week on Tuesday Modi hoisted a 22-foot, saffron-coloured religious flags and led rituals – performed by 108 priests from across the country in presence of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP Chief Minister Mahant Yogi Adityanath.
