Sundar Pichai, the Indian born Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google has landed in the National Capital early on Wednesday morning on 18th of February 2026.
He is in New Delhi to take part in the AI Summit. In fact CEO of Google is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at 9.30 am on Thursday the 19th of February.
Soon after touchdown in at the IGI Airport, Sundar Pichai in a social media message tweeted on X said “nice to be back” in India for the summit and thanked organisers for the warm welcome.
The AI Summit is being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who declared that India stands at the forefront of the global artificial intelligence transformation.
This landmark event has drawn an impressive roster of global leaders, with delegates from more than 100 countries and approximately 20 heads of state and government in attendance.
The French President Emmanuel Macron and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez are already in India.
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan are reaching New Delhi.
The nodal ministry hosting the AI Summit is Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the IndiaAI Mission.
The summit features plenary sessions, panel discussions, workshops, hackathons and an AI Expo, with discussions centred on the practical use of artificial intelligence in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture and governance.
