The Indian Navy will commission its second MH 60R helicopter squadron, INAS 335 (Ospreys) on Wednesday next that on 17th December 2025.
The official ceremony will take place at INS Hansa, Goa – the largest Indian Navy’s base.
The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Adm Dinesh K Tripathi will be flying there at INS Hansa to personally mark this pivotal moment in the Indian Navy’s continued efforts towards modernisation and capability enhancement .
The advanced weapons on-board the MH 60R helicopter along with its world class sensors and avionics suite make this a versatile killing machine for Indian Navy’s capabilities dealing with anti-submarine warfare scenario.
The spokesperson for Navy stated that with this airpower been fully integrated into the fleet operations, navy will no doubt receive a significant fillip in its aviation capabilities.
