Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump discussed Werst Asia crisis over a long-distance telephone call on Tuesday evening that is on 14th of April 2026.

In a social media tweeted message, the Prime Minister said that he “received a call from my friend President Donald Trump. We reviewed the substantial progress achieved in our bilateral cooperation in various sectors. We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas. We also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure”.

The phone call lasted for 40 minutes.

This was their first phone call since the cease fire in Gulf.

Both the leaders also stressed the need for keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure.
